Trade Show Speakers - why and how

Trade shows are very popular events, but it can be hard to draw individuals into the event. This is because there is so much competition with other forms of entertainment today, and going to a trade show is not always the highest priority for many.

Therefore, it is important to find ways to bring attendees into a trade show and keep them there, and one of the best ways to do this is through a trade show speaker.

A trade show speaker is able to bring in attendees and keep them there because they are seen as an expert in what they are talking about. If it is a home improvement trade show, then having someone who knows a lot of home improvement, or even someone with their own television show, goes a long way towards bringing people into the event.

Getting a trade show speaker is in truth not that hard. In fact, it can be done quite easily when you know where you need to go to get them. Typically, speakers are the same as actors, models and musicians. They are represented by an agent or organization who will be able to give you a list of speakers and what their specializations are. Then, you find the speaker that works best for you and have them speak at the event.

The pay for the trade show speaker is going to vary. If you have someone who is doing speaking as a part time career, the cost is going to be low. If it is someone who is currently very early in their career, then the cost could be free. However, if you go with a local celebrity, or someone with a television show that relates to the trade show, then the cost is going to be much higher.

It is important to remember that with the higher cost, comes the greater reward of people coming in. Having a cooking speaker talking will bring in a few people, having a local and well-known cook speaking will bring in a few more. However, having Gordon Ramsey speaking will bring in throngs of people, possibly more than you can handle.

When you are looking for a speaker for the event, try to get the best bang for your buck and get someone that is going to draw people in. For many trade shows, the speaker is the biggest asset that they have.
