Many corporate representatives are sent to at least one trade conference or exhibit a year.  This is an opportunity to network with potential clients, re-establish existing business relationships and develop new ones.  This is why trade show attendees should plan ahead for the convention in order to maximize on their trip.
One good tip is to book accommodations near the exhibition center.  Normally, event planners would identify hotels that are affiliated with the event.  It is recommended to book yourself in one of the designated convention hotels because these hotels would generally have pre-arranged discounted rates and are within walking distance or a short shuttle ride from the event venue.

Schedule your booth visits at the trade show.  The trade show floor plans would usually be available weeks in advance prior to the exhibition date.  It would be efficient to plot out must see booths.  This way you would have to shuttle back and forth across the huge trade show venue.  You can also make pre-arranged appointments at your chosen booths to make sure that the individuals that you would want to meet with are there.

Trade shows would more often than not, require a lot of walking.  It is wise to dress appropriately for such.  Prepare comfortable shoes to go with your business appropriate attire.  Choose a pair that could offer additional support or cushioning for a days worth of walking and standing.  Dress in layers.  This way you could adjust according to the temperature of the hall that could be colder or warmer than expected.

These few important tips should make your trade show visit worthwhile.  Being prepared beats getting stressed over unplanned scenarios.  This way you could focus on finding opportunities and developing new business relationships that could help your existing business build new profit centers and be able to use the available information to make the necessary improvements in the business.
