World Nuclear Energy Summit·China 2010

After 20 years development, nuclear industry has gained great success. China’s nuclear industry has laid solid foundation of technology, construction,designing, manufacture and so on. To keep the sustainable economic development, the NDRC ( National Development and Reform Commissionl) and State Grid Corporation of China have made the long-term program that China's electricity installed capacity should reach 20 gig watts in 2020, while the nuclear power raised the target from 4000MW in 2007 to 8600MW in 2009. Once again, Chinese government shows its confidence and determination in developing secure and clean nuclear energy.

However, there are still many challenges for experts in nuclear industry to conquer. Domestic enterprises are still lacking of core equipment and technology; Uranium resources can not meet skyrocketing nuclear fuel demand. But China’s nuclear industry still provides a golden opportunity for foreign nuclear companies, especially for uranium mineral providers from Australia and Canada and the international logistic companies who are capable of transporting hazardous chemical goods. For them, Chinese nuclear market can have a great impact on their revenue in next 10 years. This Nuclear Energy Summit will focus on fuel cycle session, to build an international, high-level and professional platform for nuclear industry.
