Lt. Col. Dave Grossman is an internationally recognized scholar, author, soldier, and speaker who is one of the world's foremost experts in the field of human aggression and the roots of violence and violent crime. Col. Grossman is a West Point psychology professor, Professor of Military Science, and an Army Ranger who has combined his experiences to become the founder of a new field of scientific endeavor, which has been termed “killology.” In this new field Col. Grossman has made revolutionary new contributions to our understanding of killing in war, the psychological costs of war, the root causes of the current "virus" of violent crime that is raging around the world, and the process of healing the victims of violence, in war and peace.

Staff Sergeant David Bellavia spent six years in the U.S. Army, including some of the most intense fighting of the Iraq War. He has been awarded the Silver Star and Bronze Star for his actions in Iraq, and recommended for the Distinguished Service Cross and Medal of Honor for his actions in Fallujah. In 2005, he received the Conspicuous Service Cross (New York State's highest award for military valor) and was inducted into the New York State Senate Veterans Hall of Fame. He is the co-founder of Vets for Freedom, an advocacy organization of veterans concerned about the politicization of media coverage of military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. Don Alwes is a trainer and consultant with 24 years of law enforcement experience. He is a lead instructor for the National Tactical Officers Association in the areas of school and workplace violence and active shooter response. For 15 years, Don served as an adjunct instructor for Kentucky's Department of Criminal Justice Training. He instructed law enforcement personnel in active shooter response/rapid deployment, terrorism, homeland security, school and workplace violence, firearms, tactics, vulnerability assessment, and executive development. As a team leader, Don supervised and performed anti-terrorism assessments. He served as a subject matter expert for projects sponsored by the National Institute of Justice and other agencies.

Lamar Blakely started with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s office in 2002 and is currently assigned to the K9 Division. Lamar has been publicly recognized in national media by the director of the FBI Robert Mueller. In 2009, Lamar was presented an award by FBI Deputy Director John Pistole, for his continued service to proactive law enforcement. Lamar has been recognized and praised by Lt. Col. Investigator Bill Horn has more than 33 years of law enforcement experience. Al Giusto is a full-time Police Officer in Topsham, Maine and currently a M.A.R.C. (Mechanics of Arrest, Restraint and Control) Instructor at The Maine Criminal Justice Academy. He’s a black belt in the art of Bo Fung Do and a former Police Defensive Tactics Instructor through Modern Warrior Defensive Tactics Institute. Ken Gullo is a Security Officer with Alutiiq Diversified Services, LLC, a contractor for the Department of Defense which protect numerous armories across the United States. John S. Negus has been in Law Enforcement and Private Security for over 35 years. Deputy Rahn is assigned to the road patrol division, and serves as a member of the departments bomb squad.
