International Conference on High Voltage Engineering and Application (ICHVE) 2010

The 2010 International Conference on High Voltage Engineering and Application (ICHVE 2010), which will be held in New Orleans, LA, USA, on October 11-14, 2010. This conference is organized jointly by Mississippi State University, USA and Chongqing University, China. The conference follows the previous ICHVE 2008, which was held in Chongqing, China.

The conference is supported by Entergy Services, Inc., Mississippi Power Company, Tennessee Valley Authority, and technically co-sponsored by IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society (DEIS), IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES), and Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering (CSEE). The current demands for a large amount of electrical energy are resulting in new strategies for developing high voltage power systems, transmission lines, substations, and appropriate equipment. In many countries, such as Russia, China, India, and Brazil, the new energy strategies require the planning and construction of UHV AC and DC transmission systems.

Many scientific topics and events related to the high voltage and ultra high voltage engineering need to be discussed by the most knowledgeable experts and scholars from all over the world, and the ICHVE 2010 will be that forum.

The ICHVE 2010 will provide an excellent opportunity for high voltage engineering scientists, researchers, faculty, industrial representatives and students to share their state-of-the-art research and experience and to discuss the crucial scientific and technical issues with colleagues and friends.
