The 2009 Bakewell Show will feature fun for the whole family from our extended children’s classes in the Horticulture Section to our popular traditional livestock classes.
 
This year our main ring attraction will be The Knights of the Damned Jousting Stunt Team, performing a fantastic, coloured costumed display of Medieval Jousting at its very best.
 
They will join a range of other regular attractions including 15 Minute Theatre, by the Storybag Theatre Company, this year performing an original “Who Done It?” with a different ending for each performance to keep visitors guessing.  The Bakewell Beach will also be back including deck chairs, buckets & spades and a Punch and Judy Show.
 
Several of our popular children’s competitions are back too! Including: scarecrow making, extraordinary fruit or veg, cheese sculpture & craft.
 
With everything from Ayreshire Cattle to Vintage Vehicles & Machinary, there is something for all the family at the 179th Bakew
