A Crown Prince at the start, a Queen at the finish. 822nd HAFENGEBURTSTAG HAMBURG from 6 to 8 May 2011 has an impressive list of guests and maritime attractions for the whole family.
The giants of the oceans will be meeting at the 822nd HAFENGEBURTSTAG HAMBURG – there will be a total of five tall ships and six cruise ships, that is more XXL vessels than ever before at the world’s greatest port festival, from 6 to 8 May 2011. The tall ships, some of them with masts more than 50 metres high, and the imposing luxury liners, will provide a unique maritime setting around Landungsbrücken (the Hamburg Landing Stage) for the varied programme on the Elbe and on shore.
And the opening of this three-day family festival will be a truly royal occasion, with Crown Prince Haakon of Norway launching the NORWEGIAN FESTIVAL on Friday 6 May at Kehrwiederspitze, and participating in the other celebrations at the beginning of the HAFENGEBURTSTAG HAMBURG. Norway, the partner country of the 822nd HAFENGEBURTSTAG HAMBURG, will present the Norwegian capital and the south-eastern region around it during the event, under the heading “The Oslo Region is coming”.
