The Annual Meeting of the Association of American Geographers features presentations from many leading scholars and experts on the latest in research, policy, and applications in geography, sustainability, and GIScience. In addition to many scholarly presentations, the 2010 Annual Meeting will feature many unique opportunities to interact with representatives from government agencies, nonprofit groups, and other organizations headquartered in the nation's capital. The District of Columbia is home to 174 foreign embassies, many high profile NGOs, and numerous universities. This year's meeting will be held at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel and Omni Shoreham Hotel.
