The core elements of this program provide a set of standard practices and information to raise the level of awareness and education in bone densitometry. The course emphasizes central DXA testing. In addition, use of other forms of bone mass measurement, including peripheral DXA and QCT, are discussed. There are two tracks provided to this course: Clinician and Technologist.
The International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) is a multidisciplinary, nonprofit organization which was founded in June of 1993. ISCD provides a central resource for a number of scientific disciplines with an interest in the assessment of skeletal health. The Society was the first of its kind worldwide.
The ISCD Annual Meeting is the largest gathering of thought leaders in the field of bone densitometry across the USA and throughout the world. This world-class skeletal health meeting with global representation and impact provides for an interchange of ideas that stimulates thought and debate, with the goal of advancing global skeletal health.
