SERC chronobiology schools are being conducted since the year of its inception in 2002 across various parts of the country. The eighth SERC chronobiology school is being held at Jawaharlal Nehru Center for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bangalore between 25th December 2009 and 7th January 2010. This year the school will provide insights into basic concepts in Chronobiology while also highlighting its applications. During the school, lectures and talks by eminent chronobiologists of the country, as well as reputed foreign faculty will be held. The school will also involve learning concepts in chronobiology through simple experiments thus giving participants hands-on experience of chronobiological experiment design, data collection and analysis. Consequently, this school will prove advantageous to graduate and post-graduate students who are fascinated by the range of phenomena associated with the rapidly growing field of chronobiology.
