EQUITA' LYON 2011

France's largest gathering of Western Riding specialists continues to build on its incredible momentum and the 2010 Show will be presenting even more high-level competitions and demonstrations.

International Reining Open Grand Prix, European Barrel horse Cup, Cutting competition, American horse competition?all organised in conjunction with the official American associations, with American judges and big prizes; the competitions will be of the highest level and boast top international riders. Almost 400 horses and fifty exhibitors will be present. Atmosphere!

Where does Western riding come from?

When they were not working, cow-boys used to organise games to measure their skills and those of their horses; this is the origin of today's contemporary western riding competitions and shows. Totally in tune with current sporting trends, it mixes leisure, poise and control, with energy, emotion and virtuosity.
