Another reason for bringing forward the summer edition of modefabriek is that it will no longer take place in the middle of the holiday season of the central Netherlands region, but instead during its first weekend. It will also help satisfy the preferences expressed by many visitors and followers from Amsterdam and the surrounding area during earlier summer editions. Lucel van den Hoeven, a member of the modefabriek board, says: "Naturally, some regions will already have their holiday seasons planned for this period, but we think that the new dates will maximise the number of people who have the opportunity to attend the event."
