• Despite the current scenario of economic uncertainties, the demand for oil and gas will continue to grow without a background of significant alternative energy sources in the near future. Oil industry is challenged to develop and deploy technologies that will allow the new frontier for offshore development. Forecasts show that in the Asia Pacific region, 42 floating production units will be deployed by 2012. This is the largest number of units for any geographical region.

Accepting the need base for a sustainable future & energy security; the theme for this conference is ' India’s Deepwater potential – Drilling & Logistic Challenges’. Recently it was estimated that substantial amount of money will be spend in India’s deep water exploration and production sector over this decade.
