March 29 - 30, 2011
We are excited to announce the first annual ACT Major Projects Conference from 29 – 30 March, 2011 at the National Convention Centre, Canberra.

Australia's Capital Territory has grown into a mature city. With global, Australian and ACT economic activity returning to normal, the ACT Government’s focus can return to long-term strategic planning for future infrastructure.

Infrastructure is a long term asset and requires a long term view. The 10-year ACT Government Infrastructure Plan, released in 2010, is one of the first in a rolling program of annual plans to be released each year around the ACT Budget. The 2010/11 ACT Budget invests $394 million into new projects with the total Infrastructure Investment Program over four years worth $1.549 billion.

The conference will be a 2 day event which will focus on the significant investments being made by the government into major projects that are currently being worked upon as well as projects that are in the pipeline. It will cover areas of Housing, Education, Health, Transport, Water, Urban Planning, Sustainability and the overall development of the Territory.
