January 26 - 27, 2012
This 2nd annual event will address the practical issues in pediatric pharmacology. We will be taking a look at this vital area through the eyes of PKPD studies. It is important to gain a better understanding of how drugs will affect children at different developmental states and ages – this approach will help. By optimizing PKPD studies, and acquiring a better understanding of pharmacological profiles for pediatric patients, companies invested in this area will be able to provide medication for children more effectively and avoid a cumbersome approval process.

This conference will also take a deep look into the plethora of modeling simulations. This will be an important topic of discussion, as both the FDA and EMA (European Medical Association) require companies to provide empirical evidence of the guaranteed benefits their drug will have on children before advancing to the population trials phase.
