October 1 - 3, 2012
Global IWPP Summit 2012
From: 01 Oct 2012  To: 03 Oct 2012  City: Ras Al Khaimah

With both, the economy and population on the rise, GCC countries are faced with an untoward increase in demand for power and water. In order to satiate this rising demand, the GCC countries have made continuous and concerted effort to enhance their generation capacity. Demand is expected to grow at between 7% - 8% annually over the coming years and the GCC countries are anticipating to spend US$ 45 billion until 2015 in order to add an additional 32,000MW of capacity.

The GCC Governments have opened their doors to private sector participation and have adopted the Independent Water & Power Project (IWPP) model to develop their power and water sectors. The combination of power and water production gives the best economical performance and is therefore widely used in the Middle East.

This event brings together distinguished personnel from Utilities/Ministries and technology leaders to discuss and benchmark crucial issues on how to seize new opportunities and make it effective for the region. The agenda is packed with in-depth real life case studies of ongoing and completed projects, keynote presentations and interactive panel discussions.
