Biotechnology is the main driving force of today's international scientific and technological development, bio-industry has become the focus of international competition to solve the main problem facing humanity such as population, health, food, energy, environment of great strategic significance. Through the biotechnology continue to make breakthroughs in the development of opportunities, China's government attach high importance in the national long-term science and technology development plan (2006-2020). Biotechnology has been one of the five strategic priorities as the development of science and technology.During 12th Five-Year plan,the goal of the development of biotechnology in China are:improve the capability of independent innovation of biotechnology. As a whole level the biotechnology is advanced in the world. The bio-industry layout is basically formed to push bio-industry become one of China's pillar industries.
