Which route should Portugal take to achieve prosperity by 2030?

Like much of Europe, Portugal stands at a crossroads. The decisions made by the political leadership today will shape the course of the country over the next 50 years. Will Portugal’s political future lie with the centre left or the centre right? Should the nation devote significant investment to an environmentally sustainable future or save the money for other infrastructure projects? Does Portugal’s economic future lie with its European neighbours or to the rapidly growing nations of its colonial past? These critical questions need to be addressed by all of the key stakeholders in Portuguese society.
The Lisbon Summit 2015 will be the meeting place in which Portugal beats a path to 2030. This unique event will bring together the key members of the Portuguese government, leaders from Portugal’s small, medium and large businesses, academia, major international investors, international creditors and tomorrow’s generation. This unique gathering will debate and discuss the immediate economic and political crises facing the country, as well as the sectors and strategies that have the potential to transform Portugal by 2030.
