Looking after the security of the business is the focus of an HR seminar organised by Oil & Gas UK and taking place on April 20 at the AECC. HR's role in business security is one of the topics on the table at the Oil & Gas UK event which features speakers from Robert Gordon University, Police Scotland, Burness Paull and Mercer. How security can work with HR; possible terrorist threats and the implication for the oil and gas industry; insider threats, data protection and cyber security are among other issues to be discussed. Dr Alix Thom, Employment and Skills Issues Manager, said: "The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development has highlighted cyber security as a key issue for the HR role. The threat of radicalisation in the workforce, the new Data Protection Regulation and the Counter Extremism Bill will also come under the spotlight at our event which will be of interest to anyone working in HR and security."
