Event Marketing for Exhibitors
Location, location and location, are the three important words to remember when trying to secure the best and most strategic placements in an exhibit, trade show or conference. Finding the right space is like scouting for a prime piece of land for business. It can determine the fate of your business because it is certainly one of the most important factors to consider.
The space of your location is directly related to the amount of people that you can draw into your display area. This in turn has the opportunity to lead to potential sales. But remember, not all areas that are high in traffic are desirable locations. Stay away from entrances and exits. These two areas are always crowded. Visitors are more often than not, distracted and hardly notice booths next to the doors by entrances and exits.
So when selecting a location, there are certain visitor inclinations that should be remembered. Based on studies, Europeans are more inclined to visit booths located on the left while Americans tend to visit booths on the right. This can be attributed to behaviors that have been inculcated in them such as walking on a certain side of the hall or driving on certain side of the street. The same such pattern can be applied to how attendees shall navigate booths in an exhibit. So depending on where the tradeshow or conference is located, people will tend to gravitate to one side more than the other.
It is also good to know who the other exhibitors are. It is best not to be located adjacent to your direct competitors or other companies who have bigger and more vibrant displays. Choose an area that is less congested, one with the greatest visibility and where your booth has the greatest potential to stand out, to be able to maximize on your sales potential and success.
