Danville Fine Arts Faire 2011

The festival, co-sponsored by the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Danville, is now in its nineteenth year and attracts over 50,000 people every year to beautiful Hartz Avenue in downtown Danville-a city 40 miles east of San Francisco that's a mix of beautiful residences from the Gold Rush days along with magnificent homes of the future. Quaint Hartz Avenue is a natural for unique specialty shops and gourmet dining. During June, the weather is usually very warm, but the tree-lined street offers plenty of shady rest areas.

A key ingredient to the success of the festival is the high quality of art and crafts being displayed by over 200 artisans. This festival has approximately 60% fine art and 40% contemporary and traditional crafts.

This year's Italian Street Painters: Alice Crittenden, Cheryl and Wayne Renshaw, Hien Nguyen, Shirley Rhoades and Cece Linayao will create their 12 x 12 ft. masterpieces on Prospect Street's asphalt canvas while only using chalk as their medium.
