Metering, Billing/CRM Europe 2012

Smart metering is by many seen as a catalyst for transformation of the utility sector, with the potential to rewrite the roles and dynamics between the consumer, supplier and distributor and spearhead the development of smart grid.

Progressive utilities are placing the consumer at the heart of smart grid and are devising transparency in billing and various consumer engagement programmes to build rapport and trust. Smart meter rollouts are instrumental to future smart grid developments, and most European governments are actively endorsing their implementation.

Already in its 14th year, Metering, Billing/CRM Europe is Europe's most established event for smart utility professionals, which in 2011 alone attracted over 5000 international participants.

Our programmes are based on ongoing research and contributions by our committee members, all leading experts from the European smart energy community.

The smart metering industry is constantly changing, with new directions and market opportunities, the most notable of which is a shift towards smart grids and smart homes. To reflect this, the 2012 programme will cover all aspects of smart metering, but also and in line with market developments, its scope will be widened to encompass T&D, smart grid and smart home applications.
