Educaturk International Education Fairs - Istanbul 2010

According to the most recent census, %26 of the Turkish population is under age 15, and more than %60 is under 35 years of age. This large, young population in a country of 70 million people cannot be accommodated by its own post-secondary system; therefore, more than ever, students and their families are looking for alternatives.



Receiving an education is of great importance to Turkish citizens. Every year, over 25,000 Turkish students study overseas in language, college, university and vocational programmes, and they need solid information in order to choose where and when to study, as well as what is required to make their experience abroad as effective and enjoyable as possible.



As a key source of information, students and their families attend Educaturk. Since over %70 of the population now lives in large urban centres, Educaturk takes place in the three largest cities: Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, each with its own, unique profile.
