World Wind Energy Summit China 2010

Fossil fuel is limited. Millions of factories and billions of population are thirsty for renewable energy to replace conventional ones. To fill this gap, the installed capacity of wind power, one of the most well-developed and economical new energy, is skyrocketing worldwide.
China shoulders the task of meeting the electric power demand of one fifth of world population, and its territory does cover great amount of wind resource.In 2009, China’s wind power installed capacity accounts for 10% of global capacity. This number shows the efforts and determination of the Chinese government. Over 100 wind farms have been built in China, and more than 378 wind energy projects are undergoing in 2010.
The blueprint drew by National Development and Reform Commission set our capacity objective at 300 billions wattage—near three times of current level. To achieve this goal and to ensure sustainable development, we should enhance cooperation with the international world while keeping our own advantage. China is at start-up phrase in renewable energy aspect--20% key components still rely on product or technology import. International technological communication, experience sharing and project cooperation will be three most effective approaches for China and people all over the world to enter the renewable energy era. We sincerely welcome wind energy forerunners from all over the world.
