As the global workforce continues to age and the massive Baby Boomer generation begins to enter retirement, executives and talent managers are deploying a variety of strategies to fill and sustain the leadership pipeline. Along with Gen Y’ers entering the workforce in greater numbers during the last few years, the workplace is now more diverse than ever before. In many organizations, four generations of people are working alongside each other, and each generation of employees brings with them different experiences, perspectives, and expectations. While organizations have developed policies and programs to promote racial, cultural and gender diversity, generational diversity has yet to be addressed at the strategic level leaving organizations unclear about the needs and aspirations of each generation.

The Multi-Gen Summit 2012 will discuss the Generation Y workforce from every possible angle, including attraction, recruitment, accelerated leadership development, retention and engagement strategies to help maximize their performance. The Summit will also address the multi-generational workforces’ needs and potential challenges, addressing topics such as phased retirement, knowledge retention efforts, work/life balance, flexible employment programs, as well as the often misunderstood Gen X Leadership Style.
