WOOD WEEK 2011

Exhibition focused on learning from overseas experts on how timber engineering solutions were made to work in a short time frame for earthquake-ravaged buildings in Italy. Timber engineering in New Zealand also has the potential to widen the export base from which forest owners reap their rewards from 25 to 30 years of growing wood for a range of markets, most importantly, markets which take us beyond logs.
