The LHC collider and the search for the God Particle

Over 5000 physicists analyze proton collisions that take place (while you are reading this line) in the biggest accelerator the world has ever known, the LHC, located in a 27km underground tunnel around Geneva. This project is one of the most ambitious scientific projects in the history of mankind.

They all do it in search of the holy grail of Particle Physics, the Higgs particle (also called "the God Particle") which acquires mass to all known particles in nature and enables our existence.
