The Taste of the West Trade Show 2012

This unique blend of south west speciality, with flavours from farther afield provides buyers from the region and beyond, with the opportunity to network with colleagues, taste the diverse range of food and drink products on offer, keep abreast with latest industry developments and secure unique and highly desirable ranges for their establishments!

Taste of the West is an independent, commercially run trade body for small and medium sized food and drink producers in the West Country.  We are not reliant at all on public sector funding and is unique in terms of a business community of some 800 members coming together, forming a group, and through the formation of an industry led Board of Directors provides marketing support services to the west country’s food industry via a dedicated executive team.   It has developed a superb regional food brand, organises an annual prestigious ‘quality’ awards programme – all privately funded as well as organising trade shows with fantastic industry partners such as Hale Events and meet the buyer events to get producers products in front of the market (i.e. large retailers, small, independent retailers and foodservice).

Taste of the West prides itself on being able to develop strong industry partnerships and has set up a regional food distribution hub with J&R Foodservice which consolidates local and regional food products and distributes them to the market, including 10 Mole Valley Stores as well as Budgens stores and World Duty Free airport stores.
