Bulk Liquid Storage - Tank Management 2012
Konferenzen > Industrial Safety, Occupational Health Konferenzen > Bulk Liquid Storage - Tank Management
July 24 - 26, 2012
Bangkok , Thailand
In the last Decade, the inspection and maintenance of Bulk Liquid Storage Tanks has been extremely critical and has seen significant growth in the inspection and maintenance
field. The storage of bulk liquids which are hazardous creates a high level of risk for the environment, the population and the overall operations of organizations. A release of hazardous substances can arise through leakage, fracture, corrosion, ruptures, over lling. The reason for these occurrences will be due to weather, design, maintenance processes, corrosion protections, etc. With eff‑ective programs, processes and procedures in place, increased productivity, lower down-time and lower maintenance cost can be achieved.
This course will cover scenarios, methodologies, techniques and processes, and the programme is designed to be of benefit to all professionals involved in the day-to-day operations and the long-term viability of bulk liquid storage facilities. This 3 day course will cover key are as such as:
• Maintenance Strategies
• Desludging
• Inspection Processes
• Sludge Disposal
• Oil Recovery
• Waste Disposal
• Corrosion & Repair
KEY BENEFITS OF ATTENDING
• Understand the fundamentals of tank design to API 650
• Learn and apply safe methods for Confined Space Entry including gas-freeing procedures
• Gain skills and knowledge in tank condition monitoring, safe cleaning and desludging
• Understand the key strategies and expertise in managing tank desludging without man entry
• Benefit from understanding technology associated with sludge processing for hydrocarbon recovery and waste minimisation
• Consider tank corrosion mechanisms and internal corrosion control
• Apply the fundamentals of API 653 in assessing tank condition and suitability for service
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
All Professional:
• Corrosion Control
