Australian Regional Airports are recognised as critical gateways for economic development and social well-being for regional Australia; however the collide between increasing demands for more frequent and improved services against ageing infrastructure and limited funding mean as many as 50% of Regional Airports are unable to meet the demands for growth or improved services and in fact operate at a loss each year.
