Messe Frankfurt India announced today its decision to delay Texworld India, international trade fair for apparel fabrics & accessories, to 2010 due to prevailing market conditions.

" The Indian apparel fabric industry is going through its worst crisis, with exports continuing to head downward due to demand contraction in US and EU markets, as well as high input costs, " said Shammi Nagpal , Managing Director, Messe Frankfurt India. "We believe deferring the show to a more appropriate time is the best decision for all parties concerned".

Textile Days India, the combination of textile fairs will continue to run from 10 - 12 October at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, with two fairs Heimtextil India ( international fair for home textiles & accessories ) and Techtextil India ( international fair for technical textiles & non wovens ) running parallel to each other in accordance with the wishes of the industry.
