Approximately 22,700 trade visitors came looking for product premieres and innovations, and they found them at opti ´11 (2010: 20,700). This international trade show for optics has given the sector a flying start into the new business year. Because for the 470 exhibitors, opti was their platform of choice for launching new products and developments. The entire sector is set to benefit from this breath of fresh air from Munich.
opti ´11 proved to be a real barometer of mood in the sector. The general upturn in the domestic economy was thus reflected in sales at the fair. 67.4 percent of the visitors stated that they had used their visit to the fair to make purchases. This is a 7.4 percent rise in comparison to last year. It is an upwards trend that the exhibiting firms can confirm. 74.3 percent (2010: 69.6 percent) of the companies gave the fair the top rating of “good to very satisfactory”.
