More information on Printable Electronics
Regardless of the earthquake, we would like to announce that we have decided to hold the exhibition from Feb. 15 - 17, 2012 in Tokyo, Japan as planned. In holding the event, we will take the greatest care in managing it and promoting energy/resource saving. We sincerely ask each one of you for your kind understanding and cooperation.
Along with the advance of material development in nano-order, there have been some possibilities of applying screen printing technology which has been used since a long time ago, and even technologies that have been difficult for utilization of such as inkjet, gravure, flexo, offset, coating, and even roll-to-roll process like transcription could be used for formation of conductive patterning or the manufacture of electronics devices.
Printable electronics technology is suitable for mass production and does not require a vacuum environment, any complicated etching process, or waste liquid treatment. This printable electronics attracts many from all around the world such as Europe, the United States, Korea, Taiwan and China, not just in Japan.
When this technology is developed, it is anticipated to revolutionize the manufacturing process of items such as display (LCD, PDP, OLED, electronic paper), OEL lighting, solar battery, fuel cell, semiconductor, optical communication device, sensor, and O-TFT.
However, admitting the infinite possibility that printable electronics has, there are still many tasks that has to be accomplished before reaching that stage.
Therefore, there is a big important meaning to hold an exhibition and conference relating printable electronics in Japan, a country that leads the global electronic technology.
