The American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities invites submissions to present posters and for a limited number of open submission workshops at its annual meeting, a premier international conference on state of the art research, policy, advocacy and practice for professionals working with and for people with intellectual disability. The 2010 conference, Imagining the Future, Celebrating the Past, will be held in Providence, Rhode Island from June 8 -11, 2010. This leading edge conference will examine professionals' roles in disseminating the latest research findings, expanding best practices and supports, advancing progressive public policies, and advocating for and with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. Conference participants will include leading practitioners, researchers, teaching faculty, policymakers, funders, and advocates.
