This 14th Annual Conference has been developed to review the most recent recommendations of echocardiographic imaging and quantitation as well as to introduce the recent technological advances. Topics to be covered include: A Review of Echo Quantitation, Review of Appropriateness Criteria for Echo, Valvular Disease, Cardiomyopathies, Echocardiography in Systolic and Diastolic Heart Failure, Pericardial Disease, Coronary Artery Disease and Stress Echocardiography, New Imaging Modalities (CT, MRI and Vascular imaging), Invasive Echocardiography (TEE and intracardiac echocardiography in the catheterization laboratory),  Intra-operative Echocardiography, Echocardiography in the ICU and Congenital Heart Disease Cardiac Masses. Nationally known experts on echocardiography, valvular disease and new imaging modalities will present the most up-to-date information. Hands-on demonstrations of basic and advanced Doppler will be offered on the first and second days. Participants are invited to present cases throughout the conference. This conference is intended for cardiologists, echocardiography technicians and medical professionals interested in a general review of echocardiography.

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

-Apply the ASE standard document for quantification of left and right  ventricular size and function (systolic and diastolic).
-Estimate myocardial function using standard M-mode and 2D Echocardiography as well as newer modalities such as three-           dimensional echocardiography, contrast, and strain imaging.
-Use echocardiographic and Doppler methods to assess hemodynamics,     -valvular disease, pericardial disease and cardiac function.
-Employ qualitative and quantitative measures to describe the  severity of valvular heart disease including prosthetic valve disease andapply the current ASE G
