nterventional cardiology and endovascular interventions continue to evolve with the rapid growth of available established and new technology/therapy, supplemented constantly with the results of the well designed multi-center and randomized trials. As practicing interventionalists, we must continually make changes to appropriately treat coronary, valvular, and peripheral vascular disease based on the available devices and trial results. Recently, another area of intense discussion has been the appropriateness of revascularization; medical therapy, PCI or CABG for any given patient. Hence, we need to participate in continuing educational activities to remain current. The issue of experience and cost-effectiveness of a new technology or technique always needs to be weighted before making any decision in our daily practice.
