The 15th Congress of the European Society for Organ Transplantation. ESOT has undergone a transformation in recent years into a much more professional organisation, better able to represent its members; this will be reflected in the ESOT Congress to be held in Glasgow. Poster sessions have undergone significant redesign to include many more short oral presentations in new formats. Many international meetings pay little attention to the way in which posters are presented; this will not be the case in Glasgow.
The British Transplantation Society was awarded the ESOT 2011 Congress on the understanding that innovation in international congress organisation would beintroduced. We are delighted to report that new aspects of congress interaction, such as those described above, have been put in place and that when you attend Glasgow 4–7 September 2011 you will certainly be coming to a ‘meeting with a difference’.
