The classes will be held from 1pm until 3pm on both Saturday and Sunday. The cost is $75 and includes a $15 gift certificate to purchase a handgun from Perfect Trigger at the show.
Completion of one of these classes will meet the training requirements to apply for a Virginia Permit to Carry a Concealed Handgun which is recognized in some 28 states. It also meets the training requirement for a Florida non-resident permit which adds 5 more states for a total of 33 states.
The focus of the class will be how if at all possible to avoid a confrontation but, if unavoidable, how to use a firearm defensively. There will be extensive information about the rights, wrongs, ethics and morality of correctly using a firearm defensively. The objective of this is to emphasize the responsibilities which a person accepts with a decision to carry a firearm.
