EIV Conference & Expo 2011

EIV, the first Italian fair-conference dedicated to the industry of electric and intelligent vehicles and transportation, ended on a very positive note. It took place last November in Milan within the great event on innovative technologies HTE-hi.tech.expo: more than 10,000 square meters of exhibition area, with over 140 exhibitors coming from 18 countries, 45 conference sessions, and a good 242 speakers, among the top international experts in the involved sectors.

HTE-hi.tech.expo took place simultaneoulsy with the great event dedicated to renewable energies ENERSOLAR, and the events were visited by 29,300 qualified operators from 74 countries, confirming the potential of this quickly developing sector. In the future, in fact, growing attention from companies and operators towards energetic savings and the environment, more and more limits on CO2 emissions, and the concern over climate change, will contribute to a significant increase for the demand of electric and intelligent vehicles and means of transportation, with a consequential development of the necessary infrastructures. EIV, in addition to showing different examples of vehicles which are already available, dove into the Italian and international landscape of the sector, also giving space to the institutions that are involved.

The next edition of EIV, which focuses on technologies and components for electric vehicles, takes place from 16 to 19 November 2011, again at Milan Fair Centre (Rho), and again within HTE-hi.tech.expo together with ENERSOLAR.
