The GiRI(Global IT Research Institute) hosts the ICACT(International Conference on Advanced Communication Technology) to provide an annual open forum for student, professor, researcher, engineer, policy maker, network planner, and service provider in the advanced communication technologies with technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Region 10, IEEE Daejeon section, Korean Institute of Communications and Sciences (KICS), The Institute of Electronics Engineers of Korea Communications Society (IEEK ComSoc), Korean Institute of Information Scientists and Engineers (KIISE), Open Standards and Internet Association (OSIA), National Information Society Agency(NIA), Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) since 1999. Extensive exchange of information will be provide on newly emerging systems, standards, services, and variety of applications on the area of telecommunications.
