The fair, which is going to be organized in Turkey for the second time, intends to bring together the public and private sector for rolling stock, light rail, infrastructure technology and railway logistics. Besides, Eurasia Rail aims to correspond to the demands of international and local buyers and contribute to Turkey based new trading volume.
The rolling stock, light rail, infrastructure technology and logistics fair is an international platform, where countries in both Asia and Europe will present their technologies and services in freight and passenger transportation. In Turkey; there are 12 cities and municipalities, where light rail systems are in active use. These are the municipalities of Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, Eskisehir, Adana, Konya, Kayseri, Samsun, Bursa, Mersin and Gaziantep. New light rail system projects will be carried out for the other cities as well.
During the exhibition, there will be conference and seminar programs with the participation of professional speakers related with the sector. Turkish Ministry of Transport and Communications has provided 50 billion Euros in the following 12 years to improve high speed train lines and to construct new lines in order to transfer freight and passenger transportation from highways to railway. One of the objectives of Eurasiarail Fair is to pioneer for the effective use of this allocated budget.
The objective of the fair is; to increase it’s international character and efficiency, and thereby to take place in the “world fair agenda”.
