IDKD – International Diagnostic Course Davos – is in its 44th year and has witnessed a great success and constant growth to over 1100 participants. The overwhelming success of the 1st IDKD course in Hong Kong with more than 260 participants from 30 nations has encouraged us to run a 2nd IDKD Intensive Course in Hong Kong, which will feature 14 workshops and several highlight lectures, spread over 3½ days (Saturday – Tuesday) on imaging of important diseases of the abdomen and pelvis. Lunch seminars organized by various companies will also be held.
During workshops, participants study and discuss the case material. Teachers then guide the participants through the cases, explain the differential diagnosis, present additional material and ask questions. Teachers can easily be approached during breaks to individually discuss unsolved problems. Participants rotate in groups of approxi mately 50 students through all the workshops. They can bring their own laptop (PC or Mac) to the workshops for case viewing and will get pdf files of the cases on a USB stick. Moreover, the teachers will present their cases in a video loop on the classroom VCR projector.
In addition to the teaching program “hot topics” in radiology, new developments and overviews including interventional techniques will be discussed in highlight lectures.
