“Ubiquitous Radar: Opportunity, Needs and Solutions for Innovative Radar” is the theme of the 2012 IEEE Radar Conference. This theme was chosen to highlight the emphasis on bringing emerging technology into the public domain and the application of radar technologies to filling the evolving needs and solutions for modern radar systems. Come to Atlanta to participate in the 2012 IEEE Radar Conference that promises an outstanding selection of papers and presentations exploring the state-of-the-art in international radar technology as well as many radar-related exhibitors.

The conference will be held in the Atlanta Grand Hyatt hotel.  This four star hotel, formerly the Nikko Hotel, still has vestiges of the former Japanese influence.  This tranquil retreat is set in the heart of Buckhead, home to a great variety of restaurants and luxurious shopping.  It is also a short walk from the MARTA subway station with direct connection to the Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson airport, and many other exciting Atlanta destinations.

Atlanta, former host to the 1996 Olympics, is the home for Atlanta Braves baseball, the Atlanta Hawks Basketball, the Atlanta Thrashers hockey, CNN cable news network, the Georgia Aquarium, the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, Stone Mountain, the Atlanta zoo, Fernbank, Cyclorama and many other attractions associated with the Civil War of the United States.  Atlanta is also home to the Georgia Institute of Technology, Emory University, and a number of other colleges and Universities.  The conference will also include a strong Spouses Program that will provide opportunities to meet with other spouses for great shopping within walking distance of the hotel and visits to attractions in the Atlanta area.
