Annual Cultural and Linguistic Advancement for Mission Success (CLAMS) 2013

This event is unclassified. With national defense priorities shifting, the demand for cultural and linguistic capabilities is growing in unprecedented ways. Command leaders need a support system of linguistically savvy soldiers, culturally competent officers, and experts who understand the regional nuances of operational locales. In an age of austerity, maximizing skill set investments prevails as a primary challenge for the Department of Defense.
