New Energy and its interesting side events have been offering exhibitors, trade visitors and the general public an outstanding annual platform for cultivating contacts and exchanging experiences since 2002. In 2014 new energy husum is  expecting 300 exhibitors from 15 nations. With four exhibition halls giving an exhibition space of 16,000 square metres, New Energy gives the whole sector a platform to showcase a comprehensive product portfolio of all types of renewable energy generation, including energy storage systems and electric vehicles. The range of visitors includes trade visitors from home and abroad, and also end consumers from Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg and Lower Saxony. Messe Husum & Congress is expecting 15,000 visitors from 25 different countries.

Special exhibitions with integrated lecture programmes provide information about passive houses, jobs in the renewable energy industry, and opportunities for training and retraining.
