Paolo Palmigiano the Chairman of ICLA (association of in-house competition lawyers) and General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer – EMEA of Sumitomo Electric Industries in the UK has kindly agree to chair the conference, his vast experience in competition law issues will be invaluable in ensuring that delegates take away ideas that they can adopt within their own organisation. Dr Andrea Coscelli Executive Director, Markets and Mergers, Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) in his keynote speech will focus on the strategy and mission of the CMA and how things are going in relation to the delivery of those objectives for the agency as a whole. Dr Tobias Caspary and Julia Brockhoff cover merger control and offer guidance on how to address this from an in-house counsel prespective. Matthew Bennett (Charles River Associates), Georgina Foggin (John Lewis, UK) and Sarah Randall (BP) will explore the issues of information exchange and how companies need to ensure that they are compliant and how to remain so by monitoring activity.
