November 24 - 25, 2014    New South Wales , Australia
HTA is a multidisciplinary field of scientific research to inform policy and clinical decision-making on the introduction and diffusion of health technologies. The Australian Government cannot financially support every new health technology that comes onto the market, so HTA aims to direct government funding, in the form of subsidies, to health technologies that are both clinically effective and cost effective.

The 3rd Annual HTA Conference is the only conference in Australasia to look solely at Health Technology Assessment. The event will combine discussion of policy updates, assessment methods and issues of transferability, decision-making processes and optimised stakeholder engagement. The event is positioned to discuss practical methodologies in Health Technology Assessment alongside the funding decision-making process, with insights being led by government, public and private hospitals, universities and the health technology industry.
