The 7th Annual Safe & Secure Hospitals Conference will provide a unique opportunity for hospital security, clinical, police, legal and ambulatory professionals to work and network together towards the common goal of making hospitals a safer place for staff, patients and visitors.
This years event will form a national account of how to best manage behaviours of concern within healthcare, allowing for open discussion regarding the use of restraint and seclusion, and the role of both the security officer, and the clinician in de-escalating aggression and violence in Australian hospitals.
The Theme for 2014 will focus on staff training, violence prevention, violence risk assessment and the formation of partnerships between clinicians, security teams, police and ambulatory staff.
