December 9 - 10, 2014    Arlington VA , USA
As the global defense and national security missions continue to grow, DoD and government planners face the daunting challenge of designing and providing the end-to-end strategic and tactical network that will be needed for future operations. More capacity and speed, mobility and anytime-anywhere services, consolidation and streamlining of data and communications operations, moving to the cloud, virtualization – these and many other challenges and capabilities must be considered in planning the future network. One key potential technology for significantly improving network manageability and security in large-scale, dynamically complex networks is Software Defined Networking (SDN). SDN moves network management functions out of hardware, routers and switches and into programmable software management and control capabilities.
