Engineers and managers involved with risk management aim for a thorough understanding of environmental risk and the risk management processes in order to achieve the expected environmental performance.

- Risk assessment process and associated due diligence.
- When to initiate a risk assessment.
- Fundamentals of risk assessment and management, tradeoffs and socio-economic considerations.
- Risk communication.
